Responsibilities Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unitCare for patients with a range of obstetric health needs, from simple to complex casesNight shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts per weekLevel 1 Labor & Delivery experience requiredNo floating or on-call expectations specifiedResponsible for managing assigned groups of Labor & Delivery patients and documenting care and interventionsAssist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatmentsAdminister medications, regulate IV infusions and blood products, and monitor patient responsesInteract and communicate care plans with patients and familiesDelegate tasks to support staff as neededHoliday coverage may be required per hospital policy50-mile radius rule in effect; local candidates within 50 miles are not eligibleReturning travelers may only extend for a maximum of 26 weeks before a six-month separation is required regarding future contracts
