Key Responsibilities
• Provide labor, delivery, and postpartum care to mothers and newborns
• Perform EFM fetal monitoring, triage obstetric patients, and assist with deliveries
• Circulate and recover C‑section patients
• Administer meds including Pitocin, MgSO₄, antihypertensives, etc.
• Start/maintain IVs, manage drips, and administer blood products
• Perform newborn assessments, APGAR scoring, and initial stabilization
• Monitor maternal conditions: fundus, lochia, pain, vitals, PIH
• Ensure safety protocols, documentation, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
Job Requirements
Experience
2 years Labor & Delivery RN experience (required)
Previous Charge Experience: Preferred
Travel Experience: Not required
Epic Charting: Preferred
Must be comfortable caring for baby and delivered mother
Licenses & Certifications
All must be AHA or American Red Cross and in hand at submission:
CA RN License (required)
BLS (required)
ACLS (required)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – provider (required)
AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (required)
