Position Summary
Northern Montana Health Center is seeking an experienced LDRP Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, high-quality care to mothers and newborns in our Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum unit.
The LDRP RN serves as a professional and resourceful clinician who utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for obstetric and newborn patients throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods. This is a 13-week contract located in a remote, rural region of North Central Montana — ideal for nurses seeking a rewarding experience in a close-knit healthcare setting.
Reliable transportation is required due to the facility’s rural location.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in LDRP setting.
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods.
Assist with labor and delivery, recovery, and newborn care.
Educate and support mothers and families on postpartum and newborn care.
Administer medications and assist physicians with procedures as needed.
Participate in rotational call coverage as scheduled.
Maintain documentation in compliance with hospital policies and professional standards.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, patient-centered care.
Requirements
Active Montana RN License (or compact-eligible)
BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent L&D or LDRP experience preferred
Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
Reliable transportation and ability to adapt to a rural healthcare environment
