Job Details
• Clinical Nurse role providing safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and significant others.
• Delivers patient care incorporating Relationship Centered Care and nursing process based on theory, research, evidence-based practice, and organizational nursing standards.
• Assesses and evaluates patient care needs applying critical thinking skills.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare team in plan of care development, implementation, and evaluation.
• Prioritizes patient care including teaching, rounding, coaching, planning after hospital care, and delegation.
• Educates patients and caregivers about plan of care, transition, health promotion, and disease prevention.
• Communicates effectively and professionally with patients, family, and healthcare team.
• Manages assignments within Modified Primary Nursing care delivery model and allocates resources effectively.
• Role models Mount Sinai Relationship Centered Care through various patient care actions.
• Considers patient values, preferences, cultural diversity, and expressed needs in care.
• Establishes and maintains therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Uses evidence-based practices to understand patients' perceptions of care.

Job Requirements
• NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience.
• Minimum 2 years intrapartum experience.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; Associate degree considered with relevant experience or active BSN matriculation.
• EPIC experience highly preferred.
Schedule Information
• Schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours each (3x12).
