Key Qualifications and Certifications : • Current RN licensure with proven experience in Rehab / LTC or LTAC nursing • BLS-AHA certification and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification are mandatory • Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start of assignment • Comfortable managing a patient ratio approximately 1 : 8-10 and working as a float nurse within the unit • Willingness to work every other weekend or two weekends per month as required • Flexibility to commit to the no-time-off policy during specified holidays (including Valentines Day, local spring break, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, local fall break, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day) Responsibilities : • Deliver comprehensive care to patients recovering in the Transitional Care Unit • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans • Monitor patient progress and communicate effectively with medical staff and families • Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and documentation requirements • Participate actively in orientation and ongoing training to ensure compliance with facility standards Location Insight : Maryville, TN, offers a charming community atmosphere with easy access to the natural beauty of the Smoky Mountains.
