LanceSoft is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Travel RN – Med Surg / Observation Unit (ER Overflow)
Location: Battle Creek, MI
Shift: Night Shift – 3x12s (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to support a 10-bed Observation Unit that functions as an ER Overflow area. This unit focuses on rapid admission, continuous reassessment, and timely discharge of patients. ER experience is highly valued and will be considered.
Unit Details
• 10-bed ER Overflow / Observation Unit
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio (Days):
• RN only: 1:4–5
• RN/LPN team: up to 1:7
• Primary focus: Reassessing patient readiness for discharge
• Fast-paced, high-turnover environment
Floating Requirements
• RN must be willing to float to other Med-Surg units
• Floating occurs approximately once per week, depending on unit needs
Weekend Requirement
• Every other weekend required
Other Med-Surg Units
• Treat a wide variety of medical patients
• Team-based environment including RNs, LPNs, and Techs
Required Qualifications
• Active Michigan RN License
• BLS (AHA)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Travel experience required
• ER experience accepted
• Must be comfortable working with RN, LPN, and Tech teams
Scheduling Notes
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
