Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/02/2026 Duration: 8 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: Work on a 24-bed medical surgical telemetry unit with patient ratios of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends 12-hour orientation provided Must work every other holiday and weekend coverage is required Can be floated to all other inpatient units as needed Unable to guarantee specific scheduling requests such as block scheduling Must have 2 years of nursing experience in specialty Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS, and Telemetry Must be comfortable with telemetry monitoring and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias Experience required with chest tubes, PCAs, epidurals, wound vacs, and specialized cardiac equipment Must be proficient in pre/post cardiac catheterization care, sheath removal, and cardiac surgery care Expected to manage and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips Must be skilled in IV starts, central line care, PICC line management, and port accessing Experience with blood product administration and isolation precautions required Epic charting system experience preferred Must maintain compact or Louisiana nursing license May be assigned to emergency team during emergency events with expectation to remain at facility No call-ins policy strictly enforced Facility: This medical center operates a comprehensive cardiovascular and medical surgical telemetry unit that provides specialized care for patients with complex cardiac conditions and medical diagnoses.
