Job Description: RN – Medical/Surgical Telemetry (MS/Tele)
Location: Washington, DC 20037
Contract Period: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-Hour Night Shift (3x12s)
Key Responsibilities
Provide safe, competent nursing care in alignment with RN licensure and facility standards
Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments including review of systems
Deliver age-appropriate and evidence-based nursing interventions
Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond to clinical changes
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Support patient and family education regarding treatments, medications, and discharge planning
Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and effective communication in a high-volume setting
Required Qualifications
Active RN license in the District of Columbia (or eligible compact)
Minimum 2 years RN experience – Required
Minimum 2 years Med/Surg Telemetry experience – Required
Cerner EMR experience – Required
NIHSS certification – Required
BLS & ACLS – Required
Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program – Required
BSN – Highly desired
