Job Description

The MedSurg/Tele Float Pool Registered Nurse will provide nursing care in a variety of units, primarily floating between 6N and 7N, as well as other assigned units. The role includes caring for patients with common diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, pneumonia, and more. The nurse will be expected to handle both telemetric and general nursing responsibilities while providing safe and effective patient care.
Responsibilities
• Float to various MedSurg and Telemetry units as assigned;
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients according to their specific needs;
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips;
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed;
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes;
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Current RN license;
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required;
• Experience in adult MedSurg and Telemetry nursing;
• Ability to pass a cardiac rhythm exam;
• Familiarity with Epic Systems for charting is a plus.
