Opportunity:

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with options for 0700-1900 or 1930-0730

• Every other weekend requirement (Friday and Saturday for nights, Saturday and Sunday for day shift)

• Holiday rotation schedule to distribute holidays fairly

• Float to multiple units including EC MST, Pediatric unit, and West Campus in Prescott for ICU/PCU

• Multi-care unit covering three acuity levels: ICU (1:2 ratio), PCU (1:4 ratio), MST (1:5-6 ratio, 1:3 if no nurse aide)

• Required to take and pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts with 80% score

• Must have minimum 2 years ICU experience or 1 year ICU plus 1 year PCU/Med Surg from larger facilities

• Required to titrate drips including sedation, vasopressors, and insulin

• Responsible for taking 12-lead EKGs and monitoring bedside cardiac monitors for ICU patients

• Work with respiratory equipment including vents, BiPap, and CPAP with RT support

• Care for medical ICU patients with diagnoses including sepsis, COPD, respiratory arrest, pneumonia, DKA

• Manage post-op complications and patients with blood pressure or heart rate abnormalities

• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS

• Use Cerner charting system

• May be placed on standby rotation during low census periods

• Can wear any scrub color except camouflage

• BSN not required

• Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per contract (3 shifts if contract under 13 weeks)

This medical center operates a 10-bed multi-care unit that provides three levels of acuity care within a single unit, eliminating the need for patient transfers between different departments. The facility features advanced cardiac monitoring capabilities with remote monitor technicians and comprehensive respiratory therapy support. The healthcare organization maintains a trauma care setting and provides extensive orientation programs for new staff members to ensure competency across all care levels.
