Certification Details • BLS • NRP Job Details • Registered Nurse position in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) specialty. • Job involves providing nursing care to newborns in a specialized intensive care setting. Job Requirements • Massachusetts nursing license (no conditional licenses accepted). • BLS certification (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF or Military accepted; AHA preferred). • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF or Military accepted; AHA preferred). • MGB NWH Self-Study Orientation & Attestation required. • MGB Medication Exam with 80% passing within 365 days. • Fit Test for N95 respirator within 365 days and updated annually. • Documentation of MMR vaccination or immunity. • Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30) with no exemptions. • TB test documentation within 3 months of start date and updated if >6 month break. • Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days and updated if >6 month break. • MGB Criminal Background Check within 45 days prior to start date and updated if >6 month break. • MGB Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start date and updated if >6 month break. • MGB Resume including past 7 years of work experience. • Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation required if fit test is required. • MGB References: 2 recent references, minimum 1 supervisor or above in skillset. • MGB Skills Checklist required for submission. • MGB Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form required for all initial assignments and extensions. • MGB Education Verification through background check company. • MGB SSN Trace with addresses/aliases for past 7 years. • MGB National Sex Offender Check within 30 days of start and updated annually. • MGB Exclusion Checks within 30 days of start and annually. Schedule Information • 36 hour rotating shifts consisting of 3x12 hour shifts. • Shift times are either 7:15 PM to 7:15 AM or 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. • Rotation depends on unit needs and is not guaranteed. • Every other weekend and rotating holidays required. Unit Specific Information • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) specialty. Additional Details • MGB IRP Resume and Evaluation are optional. • License/Certificate Verification required for submission. • Positive PPD requires negative chest x-ray documentation. • Hepatitis B vaccination strongly preferred but optional. • Tdap vaccine preferred within 10 years and updated upon expiration. • MGB Candidate Submission Coversheet required for submission.
