Position Summary
The Nurse Manager II provides advanced clinical and operational leadership within the hospital setting, with a required focus on Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) services. This role is responsible for overseeing patient care delivery, staff leadership, operational performance, quality outcomes, and regulatory compliance. The Nurse Manager II partners closely with physicians, senior leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Operational Leadership
• Oversee patient care delivery to ensure high standards of safety, quality, and patient outcomes.
• Lead day-to-day operations of assigned clinical units, with emphasis on Cath Lab services.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare quality standards, accreditation requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
Staff Leadership & Development
• Lead, mentor, and develop nursing and clinical staff, with or without direct reports.
• Support workforce planning, staff education, training, and performance management.
• Promote a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
• Champion patient safety initiatives and evidence-based nursing practices.
• Support emergency preparedness planning and response efforts.
• Ensure adherence to confidentiality, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Business & Performance Management
• Participate in business operations, process improvement, and change management initiatives.
• Monitor unit performance metrics and implement improvement strategies.
• Utilize information systems and Microsoft Office tools to manage reporting, documentation, and analysis.
Collaboration & Communication
• Partner with physicians, stakeholders, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize care delivery.
• Resolve conflicts effectively and support stakeholder engagement across departments.

Required Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
Licensure & Certifications
• Active Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license required at hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire
Experience
• Minimum 5 years of patient care delivery experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business operations, clinical healthcare, or a related field
• Minimum 4 years of leadership experience, with or without direct reports
• Cath Lab (Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory) experience required

Preferred Qualifications
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (AHA)
• Specialty certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in a related practice area
