Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse – Perioperative provides comprehensive nursing care throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of the surgical experience. This role ensures high-quality patient care by applying the nursing process, adhering to established standards, and following facility policies and procedures.
The perioperative RN functions as a patient advocate, oversees personnel assigned to them, and is accountable to the Unit Nurse Manager, House Supervisor, or RN Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver safe and effective nursing care for surgical patients across all perioperative phases
• Utilize critical thinking and the nursing process to support optimal patient outcomes
• Adhere to standards of perioperative practice and facility policies
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel
• Act as patient advocate throughout the surgical experience
• Participate in required on-call rotation
Location:
Hermiston, Oregon
Contract Length:
13 weeks
Shift Information:
• Monday–Friday
• 06:30–17:00
• On-call rotation required
Floating Expectations:
• Agency nurses may be floated to other qualified departments for patient care before core staff is floated
License Requirements:
• Active State RN License (must be currently active)
