The ideal candidate will work closely with the school administration to provide services to students for the exceptional student department, in accordance with established guidelines and standards of practice. Responsibilities: • Assess and evaluate student health needs, including initial health screenings for new students, and support individualized health planning within the school setting. • Plan, implement, and evaluate school-based health care procedures while ensuring adherence to mandated school health programs. • Monitor student health conditions and perform necessary healthcare procedures, including during transportation when appropriate, and oversee medication management. • Train and monitor school personnel in the proper delivery of health care procedures to ensure safe and compliant practices. • Serve as liaison with the County Health Department and related agencies, maintain communication with medical professionals, and collaborate closely with school staff and families to ensure continuity of care. • Maintain accurate health records, complete required Medicaid documentation for eligible students, and perform all assigned duties efficiently and with a high standard of quality. • Any other duties as assigned.
