Duties:
The Registered Nurse is a practitioner who is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This individual demonstrates competency in delivery of care to a primarily adult population. The Staff RN-Inpatient job description has incorporated essential functions which are adapted from the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, 2nd Edition (2010).
Required Skills & Experience:
-Cardiac Telemetry Care experience.
-Working with diverse patient population including MI, CHF, COPD, strokes, stable arrhythmias, and any other patient needing closer cardiac monitoring and assessment. -Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of a minimum of two years education at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse.
Required Education: -Associate’s degree in nursing.
Preferred Education: -Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Required Certifications & Licensure: -Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). -American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent. -AHA HeartCode Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for healthcare providers or an AHA approved equivalent is required.
Required Certifications & Licenses:
• NIHSS - REQUIRED
Local pay: $50-$53/hr
12 hour days, float as needed, every other weekend
The Modified Care Unit (MCU) at Froedtert West Bend Hospital is an 18 bed Cardiac Telemetry Care Unit.
They also support the hospital's telemetry monitoring room. RN's are Telemetry, ACLS, and NIHSS certified.
They serve a diverse patient population including: MI, CHF, COPD, strokes, stable arrhythmias, and any other patients needing closer cardiac monitoring and assessment.
