• Location: Maysville, Kentucky 41056 (Kentucky nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Intermediate Care Unit (Cardiac Stepdown)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: April 6, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36 (Full-time RN travel job)
• Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
• Unit Size: 12 beds
• Patient Ratio: 4:1
• Dress Code: Royal Blue Scrubs
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1780 - $1910
Registered Nurse Qualifications
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Kentucky or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Stepdown RN experience (2 years preferred)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required
• Experience in cardiac care; post-cath stent removal experience is a plus
• Ability to float to Telemetry and Critical Care units as needed
• Strong teamwork, communication, and positive attitude
Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Cardiac Stepdown unit
• Monitor, assess, and manage cardiac patients, including post-catheterization stent care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately using MEDITECH and MEDHOST EHR systems
• Float to Telemetry and Critical Care units as required
• Maintain a compassionate, professional approach to patient care
