Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in CVICU License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH Must-Have: Experience in Activated Clotting Time, direct fresh open-heart admissions from OR, pressure monitoring, Swan-Ganz management, Impella monitoring, CRRT Description: The position involves nursing care in a critical care environment. Qualified candidates must have experience with direct open-heart admissions from the operating room. Candidates should be skilled in cardiac surgery practices. Experience in Swan-Ganz management, Impella monitoring, and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) is required. The expected patient ratio is 1:2, based on unit acuity. This position may involve caring for overflow patients requiring step-down level care. The ideal candidate must demonstrate proficiency in various critical care skills, including arterial line management, ventilator care, and dysrhythmia management. Candidates must be experienced in post-cardiac surgery care. Travel experience is not required. Blocked schedules may be accommodated for weekend shifts only. Additional duties include the administration of blood products, management of central lines, and titration of cardiac drips. Interdisciplinary support services are available within the unit. The patient population primarily consists of adults and geriatrics. Candidates should have documentation of professional references from direct supervisors within the last two years. Candidates must have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility to apply. All required certifications must be maintained and verifiable.
