Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: CVICU • Discipline: RN • Start Date: 03/02/2026 • Duration: 13 weeks • 34.5 hours per week • Shift: 12 hours, nights • Employment Type: Travel CVICU / CTICU RN – Cardiovascular ICU Unit: WPH – 3F ICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care) Shift Length: 12 Hours Guaranteed Hours: 34.5 hours per week Care Setting: Acute Care Charting System: EPIC Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced CVICU / CTICU Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate must be confident managing fresh open heart cases on post-operative day zero and comfortable in a fast-paced critical care environment. Key Responsibilities: • Care for post-operative cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgery patients • Manage fresh open heart cases (POD 0) • Hemodynamic monitoring and titration of critical drips • Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons and multidisciplinary teams • Provide high-level critical care to complex cardiac patients Requirements: • BSN REQUIRED • Minimum 2 years recent CVICU or CTICU experience • Must be able to manage fresh open heart patients independently • EPIC experience REQUIRED • ACLS • BLS • NIHSS • Flu vaccine REQUIRED – No exemptions allowed • Active RN license (required to submit) Additional Information: • Parking fee: Minimum $1.25 per hour • High-acuity cardiovascular ICU environment • Strong cardiac surgery program About First Connect Health At First Connect Health, we take pride in being a Joint Commission–certified healthcare staffing agency, headquartered in Newark, New Jersey.
