7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 4 days per week (8-hour shifts) with a 32-hour guarantee.
Job Description
The Clinical Nurse is a vital member of the surgical team, functioning in both circulating and scrubbing capacities. The Surgical Services department provides care across various specialties including general surgery, urology, ophthalmology, podiatry, pain management, and endoscopic procedures. Our team focuses primarily on outpatient procedures with limited inpatient care for adult and geriatric patients aged 16 and older.
Responsibilities
• Circulate and scrub for surgical procedures.
• Provide specialized care within various surgical specialties.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures.
• Document patient records accurately in Cerner EMR.
• Collaborate with the surgical team for optimal patient outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Minimum of 2-5 years of nursing experience.
• Experience in scrubbing and circulating for surgical procedures.
• Phase I/PACU experience is required.
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR is mandatory.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA).
• Valid nursing license for the state of Vermont.
• Ability to provide a supervisory signed reference from the past two years of employment.
