Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Dialysis Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday, Wednesday, Friday Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours Experience: Minimum of 9 months clinical nursing experience, including 3 months of specialized experience providing clinical dialysis care to patients in chronic or acute settings. License: Must hold and maintain a Registered Nursing license in Wisconsin. Certifications: BLS certification required. Must-Have: Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail. Description: The Registered Nurse position assists with day-to-day nursing activities. This is an important role that requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a passion for providing exceptional healthcare. Assess and evaluate hemodialysis patients, leading to the development, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care. Administer, monitor, and document therapeutic interventions and regimens. Effectively manage rapidly changing patient stations, including delegating care to other department members. Assist providers with patient-related needs before, during, and after hemodialysis care to ensure their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner. Triage and set up extra care at other facilities for patients as needed. Obtain lab specimens and perform lab competencies and quality controls regularly. Educate patients and/or family members regarding the disease process, individual care needs, safety issues, and more. Attend daily huddles and monthly meetings, participating in daily clinical decision-making. Perform other duties as requested by supervisors, directors, or providers.
