Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Department RN for a 13-week contract assignment in the beautiful Morrisville/Stowe area of Vermont. This role involves delivering age-specific, direct patient care within a Critical Access Hospital setting. The ideal candidate will utilize the Nursing Process to provide high-quality care and assume leadership responsibilities, including the delegation of tasks to support staff.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct nursing care to patients of all ages within the Emergency Department.
• Operate within the framework of the Department of Nursing Standards and Specialty Specific Standards of Patient Care.
• Lead and delegate work effectively to other healthcare team members.
• Ensure full compliance with all State and Federal laws, regulations, and facility policies.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) using the CPSI/Evident system.
Requirements & Qualifications
Certifications
The following certifications must be active prior to the contract start date (or have a booked course at the time of orientation):
• BLS/BCLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) OR ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
Experience & Licensure
• Experience: Open to candidates with less than 1 year of experience (Newer RNs with strong clinical backgrounds are encouraged to apply).
• License: Vermont State RN License required upon acceptance of the position.
