Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ED Job Details: Work varied schedule with every other weekend and holiday rotation required Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies Provide direct patient care in emergency department setting Complete patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs Review patient history and physical with patient/family within appropriate timeframe Review diagnostics and laboratory data and report abnormal results to physicians Formulate and implement plans of care utilizing assessment data and patient/family input Coordinate, delegate and supervise activities of healthcare team members Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records Provide supervision to licensed and non-licensed personnel Must possess current, valid RN license in state of practice BLS certification required ACLS and PALS required ENPC and TNCC preferred Minimum one year experience in acute care hospital setting required Experience must include working in acute care setting within past 12 months as RN in specialty area Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to emergency department Physical demands include ability to lift up to 75 pounds, stand, walk, bend, squat frequently Must use standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids Facility: This healthcare facility is a comprehensive medical center that provides emergency services along with a full range of acute care services.
