Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, will consider 1 year of strong experience License: Current RN license Certifications: ACLS Must-Have: 2 years of ICU experience Strong experience is preferred Description: This position is for the ICU unit. The unit has 24 beds and 46 staff members. Patient ratios are 1:2, with 1:3 for PCU boarders, and 1:1 for sitters or higher acuity cases. There is 1 Clinical Care Technician/Unit Secretary during day shift for 10 patients. The documentation system used is EPIC. Scheduling requires straight nights or a 50/50 rotation. Floating may occur to PCU or as a sitter anywhere in the inpatient hospital. Typical procedures performed on this unit include: - Rapid sequence intubations - Central line placements - Experience with ventilators, vasopressors, restraint use, and arterial lines - Other ICU skills are expected.
