Arizona Nursing Job Details

• Location: Show Low, Arizona (ZIP 85901) – Arizona nursing jobs
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2100-$2250
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nurse contract
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – Labor & Delivery Unit
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (6:00pm – 6:00am)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Minimum 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Start Date: August 30, 2025
• End Date: November 29, 2025

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Arizona or compact state) – Registered Nurse jobs
• 2+ years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required; 3+ years preferred
• Proficiency in C-section procedures and couplet care
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring, NIHSS
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to manage OB emergencies independently
• Experience caring for high-risk OB patients, including pre-eclampsia
• Ability to float to Emergency Department (ED) or MedSurg units as needed

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care for laboring mothers and newborns in a 7-bed Labor & Delivery unit
• Monitor fetal well-being and respond to signs of fetal distress
• Assist with C-sections and provide couplet care
• Manage high-risk OB patients and respond to emergencies until provider arrival
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapists, OB scrub techs, and patient care technicians
• Float to other hospital units (ED, MedSurg) as required
• Participate in one on-call shift per 4-week schedule
• Document patient care using Allscripts - Sunrise charting system
