Travel Nursing Job Details Location: Oregon City, Oregon (97045) – Portland Metro Area Facility Type: Short-Term Acute Care Hospital, Level II Maternity Unit Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) – Travel Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: January 5, 2026 End Date: April 6, 2026 Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00) Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary: $2330-$2500 Unit: OB Acute / LDRP (14 beds, 1 OR on unit) Patient Ratios: 1:1 labor, 1:3 postpartum Charting System: Epic Parking: Free on-site Scrub Color: Any color (provided for OR/Critical Care/ED/Maternal Child) Floating: Required within hospital and to affiliate facilities (Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, Saint Vincent) Weekend Coverage: Required (every other or every third weekend) On-call: Yes, 1 low census shift per pay period Vehicle: Must have a vehicle for assignment Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending accepted) Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (will consider 1+ years in high-risk/high census L&D units) Certifications required: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced, STABLE Proficiency with Epic charting system Ability to float between units and affiliate hospitals as needed 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years Availability to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Vehicle required for assignment Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and postpartum patients in a Level II maternity setting Assist with high-risk deliveries, cesarean sections, and vaginal births Perform newborn assessments and provide lactation support Administer medications and manage IVs, including magnesium sulfate therapy and insulin drips Monitor fetal heart rates and utilize EFM/IUPC as needed Educate parents on discharge instructions, car seat safety, and newborn care Respond to emergencies and participate in rapid response/code teams Float to other units and affiliate hospitals based on patient census and unit needs Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services
