The nurse utilizes the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy and procedures. Critical thinking skills and scientific judgment are essential in anticipating and planning for the safe delivery of care. Maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education is required. The nurse delegates patient care priorities based on the education and experience of the staff available. Providing direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care is expected. Two to five years of experience is preferred.
