POSITION SUMMARY: The Nursing Home Registered Nurse position assists with day-to-day nursing activities. This is an important role that requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a passion for providing exceptional healthcare.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
• Timely communication to physicians, families, etc. of significant changes in resident condition
• Complete all applicable resident assessments
• Complete medication administration while following the 5 Rights
• Perform wound care and assessments as needed
• Assist CNAs with answering call lights
• Monitor residents for changes in condition
• Act as leader on the floor by assessing and directing situations as needed
• Report any allegations of abuse, neglect or misappropriation to Director of Nursing and Administrator
• Maintain accurate resident records with thorough and accurate charting
• Perform other duties as requested.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Required qualifications to effectively perform job.
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
• Two-year degree in nursing required. Four-year degree in nursing preferred.
• Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Registered Nursing license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• 1+ years of related work experience preferred.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
• Scrub Color Requirement of Navy Blue
SHIFT DETAILS: Day shifts (6am-2:30pm) Every other weekend Holidays: Rotating holidays Guaranteed hours: 36
