Key Responsibilities
Patient Care:
Utilize the Nursing Process to provide comprehensive nursing care, which includes:
Conducting thorough nursing assessments of patients and documenting findings accurately in patient charts.
Developing individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
Implementing care plans and consistently documenting interventions and outcomes.
Evaluation:
Regularly assess and evaluate patients' responses to care, making necessary updates to care plans as required.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and direct the delegation of specific aspects of patient care to unit staff, ensuring the effective implementation of patient care plans.
Patient Population
This position will involve working with a diverse range of patients, including those in General Med/Surg, Oncology, Observation, Hospice, and various Medical Surgical contexts.
Work Schedule
The schedule for this position is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, guaranteeing 36 hours per week, with expectations to work every other weekend and some holidays.
Certifications and Qualifications
Current BLS certification from AHA.
Valid State License in Michigan.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience required.
Experience in Med/Surg and Observation is essential.
Recent travel nursing experience is highly preferred.
