Travel teams must be submitted together in 1 email We are only permitted to submit 2 candidates per opening, if the position is at max, we will hold on to the submission if a spot opens up ANY BACKGROUND HITS NEED TO BE DISCLOSED AT TIME OF SUBMISSION. *ALL SUBMITTALS MUST INCLUDE A UNEXPIRED COPY OF THE CANDIDATES DRIVES LICENSE* COVID VACCINE REQUIRED: Fully vaccinated means either 2 shots of Moderna or Pfizer or 1 shot of J&J; If a traveler wants to decline based on a Medical or Religious reason, please have them fill out the appropriate Exemption Form and email it to the address on the form. These should be done ASAP as they have to go through a council to be approved or denied Unit MedSurg - 5th Floor # beds 35 - can go up to 42 (9 semi & 17 private) Certs BLS required & ACLS is preferred Ratios 1:5-6 for both shifts EMR EPIC Charge Nurse/House Supervisor Charge Nurse 24/7 (are they a free charge?) budge Nurse Aides PCT - Weekend Requirement Every-other-weekend (do they designate what weekends staff works like the ICU does? Sat/Sun for both? Holidays Travelers would be expected to work holidays as needed, based off the needs of the unit Scrub Color Navy blue - navy or white jacket - undershirt white or navy - hair must be natural hair color (no pink or blue). Excessive or distasteful tattoos must be covered Tele Yes - monitored remotely Nurse's Read Strips? No, but must have basic arrythmia knowledge & be able to recognize fatal rhythms Drips Only IV gtts would be Heparin or Protonix. Not titrating gtts or cardiac gtts Vents Bipap, Cpap, High Flow Hospitalist or Intensivist in house Hospitalist in-house 24/7 IV Team No IV Team RT 24/7 RT 24/7 Pharmacy 24/7 In-house 24/7 - Omnicell Shifts "12's 7-730 for both day or night shifts Use Kronos to enter schedule requests then the clinical coordinator enters &manager approves, at least 2 weeks in advance for 4 weeks at a time. Will allow block scheduling if in the contract. Nights is usually blocks. Sun - Sat (confirm if same as ICU) " Floating Any MedSurg. The only units they would not float to would be ED or Behavioral Health Floor specific orientation 1-2 Shifts w/ a preceptor Common diagnosis / Types of patients wide variety altered mental status, some cardiac pat no active cp, renal pts, no hips knees go to ortho, cancer, overflow cva, TBI, appy, chest tubes, wounds etc. drsg changes wound nurse on days
