Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/23/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $ 2556.00 Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: 12-hour day/night variable shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM 36 guaranteed hours per week (13-week contract) Every other weekend and holiday rotation required Float to all inpatient units with appropriate patient assignments Subject to low census and on-call status with 2-hour minimum call back Nurse to patient ratio: days/evenings 1:4 or 1:5, nights 1:5 to 1:7 Fast-paced post-surgical unit averaging 10-15 admissions per day Provide care for pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients Must be able to multitask, prioritize care based on acuity, and work as a team Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License and BLS 2 years Med Surg experience required with recent hospital experience Trauma Level II experience required Prior travel experience required Epic charting experience required Equipment used: Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, Alaris pumps Any color scrubs permitted Must live outside 50-mile radius of facility Associate degree or certificate required, Bachelor's degree preferred Facility: This healthcare facility operates a 40-bed Post Surgical Care Unit that provides comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients along the surgical continuum. The unit maintains high occupancy rates of 90-95% during the week with an average length of stay of 2-3 days. The facility emphasizes team-based care and utilizes modern technology including Epic EMR systems to support quality patient outcomes in a fast-paced surgical environment.
