Job Title : RN Ortho Profession : Registered Nurse Specialty : Orthopedics Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 06 : 45 PM - 08 : 15 AM Hours per Shift : 12 hours Experience : Minimum of 1 year License : Active RN License Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification; OCN Certification is strongly encouraged Must-Have : • Willingness to float to different units or facilities Description : This position is for an RN specializing in orthopedics. The unit capacity is 33 beds. The population served includes post-surgical patients specializing in ortho, oncology, and neurology. Patients served range from young adults to late adults (ages 18-60+). The nurse to patient ratio is 1 : 6. Staffing includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, patient care technicians, and nurse interns. An RN assumes full responsibility for the patients on each team. Travelers may be required to float to different units or facilities within a 35-mile radius based on staffing needs and patient acuity.
