Travel Nurse Job Details
• Location: Memphis, Tennessee (38104) – Tennessee nursing jobs
• Healthcare Setting: Short Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center
• Unit: 5 NORTH, Medical Surgical
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
• Start Dates: 11/17/2025 or 12/3/2025
• End Date: 2/16/2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours available)
• Weekend and On-Call: As needed
• Patient Ratio: 1:7 (team nursing model with PCC, LPN, and clinical support)
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910
Registered Nurse Qualifications
• 2+ years of recent Medical Surgical RN experience (3+ years preferred)
• Previous travel nurse assignment completed
• Level I Trauma Center and large hospital experience required
• Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state (Tennessee healthcare jobs)
• ADN or BSN accepted (BSN required for select units)
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Must reside at least 100 miles from facility (local candidates not eligible)
• Compliance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines
• Willing to work 2 of 3 major holidays if assignment overlaps
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with application
Medical Surgical RN Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality nursing care to medical surgical patients in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members including PCCs, LPNs, and clinical support staff
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed
• Float between similar units and campuses within 20 miles as needed
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
• Participate in orientation and ongoing nurse training
• Adapt to changing patient ratios and team nursing models
