Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active RN license (New Mexico or compact state) required prior to start
Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience (2.5+ years preferred)
Certifications:
ACLS, BLS, and PALS (PALS may be obtained on-site within first week)
Experience with telemetry and medical-surgical patient care
Ability to manage a 1:6 patient ratio in a fast-paced setting
Two professional references required at submission
Must meet 75-mile radius rule (local candidates not accepted)
Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
THC/marijuana use not permitted (testing enforced)

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
Monitor and interpret telemetry, administer medications, and manage IVs and PICC lines
Perform wound care, surgical drain management, and blood product administration
Utilize high flow nasal cannula, CPAP/BiPAP, and non-invasive airway management
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services)
Document patient care accurately using the Evident charting system
Follow infection control and isolation protocols
Participate in on-call rotation as needed
