Travel Nursing Job Details • Job Title: Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) – Float Pool • Employment Type: Travel Contract • Location: Philadelphia, PA 19140 • Start Date: 03/02/2026 • Contract Duration: 13 weeks (through 05/31/2026) with potential to extend based on needs • Schedule: 12-hour nights • Hours per Week: 36 • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend • Holiday Requirement: Agency staff are not scheduled on holidays • Float Coverage: Inpatient Med/Surg units, step-down units, and ED Med/Surg holds as needed • Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: Typically 1:4 on standard Med/Surg units (may vary by acuity) • Orientation: Main campus orientation on start date; brief additional orientation at a secondary campus location as scheduled Registered Nurse (RN) Requirements • Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience (telemetry RN experience strongly preferred) • License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific requirements apply) • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHHS (current) • EMR Skills: Strong EPIC (Epic EMR) proficiency • Float Pool Fit: Comfortable floating across multiple units and adapting quickly to different workflows and patient populations Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities • Provide safe, high-quality patient care as a Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) for adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients across multiple inpatient units • Perform focused assessments, interpret clinical changes, and escalate concerns appropriately using sound clinical judgment • Administer medications and treatments per policy, ensuring medication safety and accurate documentation • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care plans, patient education, and discharge readiness • Maintain timely, thorough documentation in EPIC and comply with unit/hospital standards for charting and communication • Support a culture of safety by following infection prevention practices, fall precautions, and patient identification protocols • Float as assigned while maintaining professionalism, flexibility, and consistent nursing standards Apply now to join our healthcare team for this Travel Med/Surg Tele RN night shift contract in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
