We are looking for a dedicated Med/Surg Telemetry Nurse to join our team in Washington, D.C. This role is focused on providing competent and efficient care to a diverse patient population while utilizing advanced clinical technology. Key Responsibilities As a Med/Surg Tele RN, you will fulfill the needs of patients and their families by performing a variety of clinical functions in accordance with your licensure and regulatory requirements. • Clinical Assessment: Perform initial and ongoing assessments, including full review of systems and timely admission documentation. • Treatment Planning: Interpret patient information to determine appropriate nursing needs and range of treatment. • Patient Advocacy: Deliver age-appropriate care across the lifespan, ensuring a caring and efficient environment for all patients. • Quality Care: Execute patient care tasks with a focus on safety, accuracy, and adherence to hospital policy. Requirements & Qualifications Experience & Education: • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience and 2 years of total RN experience. • Electronic Health Records: Proficiency with Cerner is required. • Education: Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program. A BSN is highly desired . • Licensure: Must hold a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia. Certifications: • • NIHSS, BLS & ACLS – Required • BSN - Highly desired • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state/district - Required • Med/Surg Tele Experience - Required: 2 Years • Cerner Experience Required • RN Experience - Required: 2 Years • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program – Required • BSN - Highly desired Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
