Compensation • Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,950 - $2,090 per week Travel Nursing Job Details • Location: Marion, IL (62959) – Southern Illinois healthcare jobs • Unit: Neuro Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele) • Facility Size: 22 beds • Assignment Length: 13-week travel RN contract • Start Date: September 29, 2025 • Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) • Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed • Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and holiday • Float Requirement: May float to other medical units • Scrub Colors: Navy Blue Registered Nurse Qualifications • Active Illinois RN license (Registered Nurse – Illinois) • Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing required; BSN preferred • Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience • At least 1 previous travel nursing assignment • Neuro nursing experience required • Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications • Proficiency with EPIC charting system • Ability to perform strong neuro assessments and pass dysphagia screen • COVID-19 vaccine not required (subject to change) • Resilient, adaptable, and strong team player • No local candidates (must reside outside a 40-mile radius of Marion, IL) Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities • Provide high-quality nursing care to neuro and neuro-surgical patients, including those with CVAs, elective back/neck surgeries, and cerebral angiograms • Conduct comprehensive neuro assessments, dysphagia screens, and telemetry interpretation • Manage medical overflow patients as needed • Administer blood products, perform venipuncture, and collect blood cultures • Initiate and titrate heparin and stable IV drips (e.g., Protonix, Lasix) • Manage NG tubes, indwelling drains, straight caths, and Foley catheters • Maintain accurate intake & output records • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and adapt to changing unit needs • Float to other medical units as required Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel Med/Surg Telemetry RN in Marion, Illinois, and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
