MICU RN Job Details – Columbus, OH • Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Ohio nursing jobs) • Unit: Medical Intensive Care Unit (Critical Care Tower) • Assignment Type: Travel Nurse Contract • Start Date: March 9, 2026 • End Date: June 8, 2026 • Duration: 13 weeks • Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:30) • Hours per Week: 36 • Patient Ratio: 1:1-2 • On-call: None • Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend Registered Nurse Qualifications • Minimum 2 years of recent Medical ICU nursing experience • Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required) • Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program • Experience with EPIC charting system • Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only) • Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management • Ability to float to other hospital units as needed • Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) MICU Nurse Responsibilities • Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients with complex medical conditions: multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, COVID, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, DKA, liver failure, renal failure • Utilize advanced medical equipment: NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV Pump, GE Cardiac Monitor, GE Ventilator, Boom Lift • Perform special procedures including continuous glucose monitoring and management of externalized IV pumps for COVID+ patients • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: IV, physical therapy, respiratory, radiology, social services, pharmacy, rapid response • Maintain accurate patient documentation using EPIC • Participate in self-scheduling and weekend coverage • Float to other units within the hospital system as required Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
