Key Job Details – OR RN Travel Nursing Job in Vermont
• Location: Middlebury, VT 05753 (Vermont nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 16 weeks (Start: 11/3/2025 – End: 2/22/2026)
• Shift: 10-hour days, Monday–Friday, 6:30am–5:00pm; rotating weekly and weekend call (minimum every other weekend)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Holiday Requirement: Work 2 out of 4 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)
• Unit: Operating Room (2 ORs, 1 procedure room, endoscopy room)
• Documentation System: EPIC (recent experience required)
Registered Nurse Qualifications
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Vermont or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with C-sections required
• Ability to circulate required; scrub nurse experience highly preferred
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
• EPIC documentation experience within the past 2 years (non-negotiable)
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (no public transportation available)
• Vehicles must have all-season or snow tires November–April (Vermont travel nurse safety)
OR RN Responsibilities
• Deliver safe, effective perioperative nursing care to surgical patients of all ages (0–99 years)
• Circulate and/or scrub for a wide range of surgical specialties: orthopedics, general surgery, ENT, urology, podiatry, ophthalmology, OBGYN, and endoscopy
• Assist in C-section procedures as needed
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care in EPIC electronic health record system
• Participate in rotating call schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Follow hospital protocols and maintain high standards of patient safety and infection control
