Operating Room Tech Job Details • Job Title: Locum Tenens Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) – Operating Room • Location: Hendersonville, NC 28791 (Western North Carolina healthcare jobs) • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1920–$2060 • Assignment Length: 13-week contract • Start Dates: 12/15/2025 or 12/29/2025 (credentialing required prior to start) • Shift: 10-hour days (6:45 AM – 5:15 PM), morning huddle at 6:45 AM • Weekly Hours: Up to 40 hours (facility may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty) • Orientation: First week includes 5 days of 8-hour shifts • On-Call: Weekend call every 6 weeks, one weeknight call per week, one 24-hour holiday call per contract • Interview Availability: Monday–Friday (Manager Phone and MSP Interview) CSFA Job Requirements • Current CSFA Certification (NBSTSA) • Valid AHA BLS Certification • Associate Degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology • Minimum 1–2 years of operating room (OR) experience; trauma level experience preferred • At least 2 completed travel healthcare assignments • Strong orthopedic surgery background (total joints, orthopedics, spine, urology, endoscopy, general surgery; no cardiac or neurosurgery) • Resilient, adaptable, and able to manage change in a clinical setting • Excellent teamwork and communication skills Key Responsibilities for Surgical First Assistants • Assist surgeons in orthopedic, spine, urology, endoscopy, and general surgery procedures • Participate in daily morning huddles and monthly staff meetings • Fulfill on-call duties (weekends, weeknights, holidays) as assigned • Demonstrate flexibility and professionalism in a fast-paced operating room environment • Support a surgical team across 10 operating rooms and 3 procedure rooms • Maintain compliance with all facility credentialing and healthcare standards Apply now to join one of the leading locum tenens surgical tech teams in North Carolina and take the next step in your healthcare career!
