Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: OR - Operating Room • Discipline: RN • Duration: 13 weeks • 40 hours per week • Shift: 12 hours, days • Employment Type: Travel Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) with strong clinical skills and recent hands-on experience in surgical services. The ideal candidate is confident working in a fast-paced OR environment and has experience supporting complex procedures, including C-sections and robotic surgeries. Key Responsibilities: • Provide direct perioperative nursing care in the operating room • Assist with surgical procedures, including C-sections and robotic-assisted surgeries • Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and sterile fields according to surgical case requirements • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members to ensure safe and efficient patient care • Monitor patients before, during, and after surgical procedures • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols • Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and surgical emergencies Requirements: • Active RN license • Minimum of 2+ years of recent OR nursing experience • Proven experience with C-sections and robotic surgeries • Current BCLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required 13-week contractShift: 7am-3:30pm/40 hours per weekLocal Rate: 60.00 an hour About American Consultants Since 1989, American Consultants has been the leader in national healthcare staffing and consulting services.
