About the Position
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PICU RN in Columbia, Missouri, 65212!
Job Title : Registered Nurse
Profession : Nursing

Experience : Minimum of 2 years PICU experience required.
License : Must have a valid Missouri or Compact license.
Certifications : PALS and BLS required. TNCC Certification appreciated but not required.
Must-Have :
• Two years of overall nursing experience.
• One year of experience in Pediatric ICU.
Description :
General Pediatric ICU nursing position available.
The role requires the ability to work the full term of the contractual engagement.
Candidates must be willing to work substantial portions of assigned shifts.
Taking call and working weekends are required duties.
Candidates should be prepared to work at least 50 percent of the holidays during the contract.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
Floating to other units may be required, including patient observer roles.
The patient age groups include infants, pediatrics, and adolescents.
The unit has a total of 13 beds, with the capacity for 16 patients when needed.
Common patient diagnoses include respiratory illness, sepsis, post-operative surgical patients, hematology oncology, and renal transplant cases.
Essential skills include administration of blood products, care of ventilated patients, and management of IVs and central lines.
Experience with Cerner charting system is preferred.
The ideal candidate will have experience with high flow nasal cannula, tracheostomy care, and interpretation of arterial blood gases.
Pediatric dosage calculations and phlebotomy experience are also required.
