- Cardiac Telemetry experience
- PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience
- Management of Dysrhythmias experience
- Telemetry monitoring required
- Use of Rapid Response Teams
- Pre/Post Cardiac Cath experience
- Central Line Care Management
- PICC Line Management
- Starting IVs preferred
- Heparin Protocols experience
- Manage and titrate cardiac drips required
- Isolation Precautions experience
- Wound Care/Wound Vac experience preferred
Description:
This is a float position, and the nurse must be interested in floating.
The nurse will float to IMC, Tele 1, Tele 2, and Med/Surg units.
Responsibilities include caring for a diverse patient population with complex medical conditions.
Patients may require advanced airway management, including tracheostomies and ventilators, high-flow oxygen, or BIPAP.
Nurses will manage various cardiac drips and be involved in the care of patients with pulmonary and cardiac issues.
Patient demographics include those with acute and chronic pulmonary conditions, congestive heart failure, and post-myocardial infarction.
The role also includes dealing with complicated cases involving dysrhythmias and administration of continuous cardiac medications.
The position requires floating and providing care in accordance with established clinical standards.
Wound care and management of surgical drains may be part of the daily tasks.
COVID-19 and flu vaccines are required.
This facility maintains a smoke-free and nicotine-free environment.
