Job Opportunity - Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse - Alaska
Start Date: February 3, 2026
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 7:00pm - 7:00am, 36 hours per week guaranteed, 13-week assignment
Highlights:
• 17-bed Surgical Progressive Care Unit with telemetry monitoring
• 4:1 patient ratio with collaborative team structure (1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs per shift)
• Epic EMR system in use for seamless documentation
• Diverse patient population including post-surgical, cardiac, and neuro care patients
• 13-week travel assignment with potential for extension
• Must work 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period and 3 major holidays per year
Requirements:
• Active Alaska RN license must be in hand at time of submission
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Proficiency in IV insertion/phlebotomy, NGT management, tracheostomy care, CPAP, high-flow oxygen, and heparin drip management
• Experience with post-surgical care, NIH/stroke protocols, and cardiac monitoring
• Cardiac and neuro care experience strongly preferred
• Ability to float to Ortho, Medical-Surgical, Medical-Oncology, MOU, Rehab, and CVSU units
• Navy blue scrubs required
