Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1+ years preferred, 2 years preferred License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required, CPI preferred Must-Have: - Cardiovascular experience required - Charge experience preferred - Patient ratio experience of 1:4 Description: PCU nursing position available for night shifts. Candidates must have cardiovascular experience. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4. Weekends may be required on a rotating basis. Floating to similar units may be necessary based on facility needs. Travelers will receive a brief orientation. Additional requirements include experience with various procedures and skills related to cardiac care. Experience with telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias is essential. The unit includes support from interdisciplinary teams and focuses on adult and geriatric patients. Daily census typically averages around 38 patients. Candidates should be proficient in managing cardiac drips, performing sheath removal, and various patient care procedures.
