Registered Nurse (RN) | Trauma Intensive Care Unit Location: Omaha, NE Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,290 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified TICU RN in Omaha, Nebraska, 68124! Job Title: TICU RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active RN License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Candidates must have 2 years of ICU experience. Must be within the radius rule of 50 miles from the facility. Previous travel experience is required. No license or background issues are acceptable. Driver's license is required for verification purposes. Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas. Candidates must pass an open book exam during orientation. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:1-2 in ICU and 1:4 in PCU. Description: The unit specializes in trauma patients, accepting a range of trauma injuries. Common diagnoses include sepsis, stroke, ARDS, MODS, COPD, and cardiac arrest. Nurses will manage various interventions, including CVPs, IABP, and Impella. Training is available for specific equipment like Alines, Swans, and ICP monitoring. RNs are required to titrate drips such as vasopressors and sedation medications. A charge nurse is present on each shift, and their duties include taking an assignment. Patient care technicians are available, with a ratio of 1:18. Nurses will troubleshoot respiratory equipment but will not be responsible for advanced functions. RNs must read and interpret telemetry strips. Self-scheduling is permitted, and shifts are managed by unit needs. Weekend requirements include four weekend shifts within a six-week scheduling period. Floating to inpatient units is required, excluding specific areas. The dress code is navy blue scrubs. The unit is fast-paced and caters to critically ill patients.
