Job Summary:
Provides holistic, individualized nursing care to patients in the OB/L&D unit, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecology patients. Demonstrates strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and commitment to quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform nursing assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
- Provide direct patient care during labor, delivery, and recovery.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality standards.
- Manage supplies, equipment, and promote teamwork within the department.
Requirements:
- Minimum one year of acute care RN experience.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Computer proficiency.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Active RN license (state-specific).
- BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and STABLE certifications.
- COVID-19 vaccination required (per state mandate).
