Shift Time: 08:00:00 - 16:30:00

Qualifications:
Education : Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Licensure: Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
Certification: Certification through NBCOT (OTR/L)CPR certification is required.
Experience: Previous experience as an Occupational Therpist is preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing a variety of occupational therapy interventions.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, empathy, and the ability to establish a therapeutic rapport with patients and their families.
Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to ethical and confidentiality standards.
Physical Requirements: Capable of standing for extended periods, assisting patients with physical activities, and performing physically demanding tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, emotional, and social functioning to develop personalized treatment plans.
Treatment Planning: Design and implement individualized occupational therapy programs that focus on improving fine and gross motor skills, activities of daily living (ADLs), and sensory processing.
Therapeutic Interventions: Administer therapeutic activities, exercises, adaptive equipment, and assistive technologies to address patients' specific needs and goals.
Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on adaptive strategies, techniques, and home exercises to enhance progress and independence.
Progress Monitoring: Regularly evaluate patients' progress, modify treatment plans as needed, and establish achievable goals.
Documentation: Maintain detailed patient records, including initial assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries, while adhering to regulatory standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and speech therapists, to ensure coordinated patient care.
Pain Management: Utilize pain management techniques and modalities to reduce discomfort and enhance patients' functional abilities.
Advocacy: Advocate for patients' needs and rights, providing support in navigating insurance and community resources.
Continuing Education: Stay updated with the latest advancements in occupational therapy through ongoing education and professional development.
