Requirements • Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Surgery setting. • Active RN License. • Degree from an accredited nursing program. • BLS & ACLS Certifications. • Additional requirements may be specified by the client facility. Duties and Responsibilities As an Operating Room / Perioperative Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care for surgical patients by assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care before, during, and after surgery. Your responsibilities will include: • Delivering patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing nursing interventions tailored to surgical needs. • Acting as a patient educator and serving as a circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse. • Circulating nurses will work within the operating suite, outside of the sterile field. • Scrub nurses will manage and prepare operating instruments and equipment within the sterile field.
