Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Operating Room – Florida Start Date: February 16, 2026 Location: Davie, Florida Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 36 guaranteed hours per week (3x12-hour shifts) or 40 hours (8/10-hour shifts). On-call requirement of 1 shift per week plus 2 weekend shifts (12 hours each) per month. Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs. Highlights: - Strong focus on robotics, orthopedic, and neurological surgical cases including Da Vinci Xi and Mako Surgical Systems - Diverse case mix spanning general, vascular, colorectal, gynecologic, and urologic robotic procedures - Epic charting system preferred; 40-hour comprehensive orientation provided - 18 operating rooms with daily census of 55 patients; adult and geriatric patient populations - Teaching facility environment with opportunities to mentor students and new staff - First-time travelers welcome; locals accepted at same compensation rate Requirements: - Active Florida RN license (pending licenses accepted) - Minimum 2 years of direct Operating Room nursing experience required - Strong robotics, orthopedic, and neurological OR experience required - ACLS and BLS certifications required at time of submission - NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start date - COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions only) - Negative 10-panel drug screen plus nicotine/cotinine test required (smoke-free facility, no exceptions) - Two professional references from direct supervisor, manager, or director - Must pass EKG and Pharmacology tests during orientation (2 attempts maximum for each) Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work with cutting-edge robotic technology across multiple specialties in a dynamic teaching environment.
