
Travel OR Nurse (RN) | Tyler, Texas in Tyler, TX
Job Description
Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A travel nursing opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room (OR), located in Tyler, TX. This assignment is a 13-week contract offering Monday through Friday shifts from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, totaling 40 hours per week. The role requires a high level of expertise in multiple surgical specialties with a focus on vascular cases in a Level 1 trauma center environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide perioperative nursing care across a broad range of surgical specialties including general OR, trauma, endoscopy/laparoscopy, neurology, orthopedics, podiatry, thoracic, urology, and vascular surgeries.
• Assist with complex procedures such as abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, carotid endarterectomy, endovascular aneurysm repair, femoral popliteal bypass graft, dilation & curettage, and utilize aseptic technique rigorously.
• Support robotic and neuro surgeries and participate in cases involving pediatric and adolescent patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and maintain safety standards.
• Maintain accurate patient records and comply with all hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Current RN license with eligibility to practice in Colorado
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience with prior travel nursing experience
• Strong background in vascular surgery with additional expertise in heavy orthopedics, general surgery, and urology
• Pediatric and adolescent experience is preferred
